We love being here as does our golden retriever, Sammi! We love our little cabin with the fireplace and the people here - especially Kate and Dylan - are great! Yummy bargain breakfast in a wonderful setting! Karen H - Expedia Group Lodging - April 2019
This was a great last minute choice for our family trip. Check in was really quick, less than 5 min. Check out was even faster. That was great and the ladies there were very friendly. That cabin was clean and spacious. It was perfect for our needs. I would go back there in the summer., the cabin is right by the lake. 8 out of 10 Michelle, Hotels.com March 20 2019
Ryan H - Canada Stays - Friendly Staff - Well kept cottage. Awesome that they offered complimentary firewood and snowshoes. We would highly recommend. March 16, 2019 - Stayed in Honeymoon.
The check-in was at most 5 minutes and that was to just go over the details of the grounds and contact info if we need something after hours. They were very friendly at the front desk. The room was clean and tidy. We got the room that we booked as described on the website. The heating was great. It was the perfect size for our family of four. Check out was literally less than a minute. We would stay there again. Hotels.com March 14

If you want to have an amazing experience, is a clean, wonderful, comfortable place with a nice view to the lake, where only friendly caring people work.this is the place to go. We have the time of our lives there, went out fishing, they are pet friendly so we did not have to worry about our dog, it was just incredible. Thank you !!!
Tally Ho was great. I enjoyed the entire place and although I was there in the winter I still had a great time. We snowshoed, we played pool, and ping pong, they had an ice rink to skate on, and board games for people to check out and take to their room or cottage, and they also have laundry facilities as well as a nice big sunroom in the main office for guests to sit and enjoy the sun sunset/sunrise with coffee. tea, hot chocolate, and continental breakfast. The cottages were great. Very clean and well equipped. The hot tub style bathtub with the jets was awesome and also a great hit with my 6-year-old daughter. Our cottage had a wood burning fireplace as I believe they all do, and the nice maintenance man brings the wood to the cottage for you (I am a little biased as the maintenance man that brought my wood and shoveled our walkway is my son) but the rest of the maintenance men were nice as well. I didn't meet housekeepers, but I met office staff, maintenance men, supervisors etc and there was not one of them that wasn't incredibly nice and very polite and accommodating. I can't wait to go back. It is far enough from town that is peaceful, and especially with it being on the lake, I'm sure it is just beautiful in the summer, but it is also close enough to town that as long as you have a vehicle it only takes a few minutes to get into town. The closest Town is Huntsville, and it is a pretty big town/small city with lots to do and all the amenities you may need. In my opinion and my own personality, I would grocery shop before I checked in and probably not leave again until check out, as long as I didn't absolutely have to go to town, especially in the summer. Definitely the best small resort I have been to and since I was there in the winter, I only have seen half of what the place has to offer and what it is like. If I liked it that much in the winter I think I would be afraid to go back in the summer in case I never wanted to leave (Haha) Amy B - GoogleMyBusiness Feb 2019
“Great staff! Amazing rooms with wood fireplace in ur own cabin! We got lost on the way there but other then that would go again in a heartbeat!!!!!” Katrina AirBnB Feb 2019
Tally Ho is right on Peninsula Lake so 4 seasons of the year it is beautiful. The front door of Unit 8 where we stayed is 80 feet away from the water with only a lawn and trees in between. The facilities and amenities are all as described, including working wifi. Some snowmobiles passed by but even on Saturday night it stopped around 10:00 pm. At about 10 kilometers east of Huntsville it is convenient and yet at a distance from the town, and the pleasures of Algonquin Park are just a little further along Hwy 60. Great, restful stay. A really quaint, cozy cabin. Plenty of firewood for extra warmth and soft bedsheets. The Tally Ho property is right on Peninsula Lake and only about 10 minutes from both downtown Huntsville and Arrowhead Provincial Park. We really enjoyed ourselves and took advantage of our proximity to both these spots! AirBnB Stephanie. B Feb. 2019
My boyfriend and I stayed here February 20-22nd and it was exactly what we wanted for a winter getaway from the city. The drive from Hamilton was fast and the scenery was gorgeous with the snow. We arrived and were greeted by a very friendly front desk staff who answered all of our questions while we waited. The Mapleview room #4 was pleasant and quaint. The whole cabin was nice and clean. The wood fire place kept us relaxed and cozy. It’s a dated cabin, but worth the 100$/night because the view is incredible and it’s very private. Timmies is just a drive down the road. There’s a pub across the street. Our dog also had a great time running on the frozen lake and the property. Snowmobile trails go right through the property which was fun to watch. Parking was right out front. The girl working as housekeeping was very kind and offered us fresh towels at our door. We will return in the summer and winter again! Thank you for a cozy and peaceful 2 nights- from Jess, Nate, and Diesel. Deb. C - Feb 2019
Thank you Tally-Ho Inn, we enjoyed our stay family day weekend. Our mapleview room was comfortable clean and cozy with a nice fireplace and view of the lake. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed snowshoeing on the lake at Tally-Ho skating at Arrowhead Park and skiing at hidden valley conveniently located close by.
This was our first visit to Tally Ho Inn and we had an excellent weekend stay. The cabin was clean, spacious, cozy and comfortable. The cottages are on the lakeside with a beautiful view. We had a relaxing time and would return again in the future.Read less Emma B - Trip Advisor - Feb. 2019

A rustic inn in a gorgeous location 5/5 - We booked a cottage at Tally Ho for a weekend getaway to celebrate my husband's birthday. We wanted a place that was homely and not commercial and that's exactly what we got. The cottage had a den with a fireplace, a television, a bedroom, and ensuite. They gave you a bag of kindling when you checked in, and you can help yourself to logs that are stored just outside the cottage. While our cottage wasn't built with a kitchen,( they have other cottages with kitchens), they did manage to put in a small fridge, microwave, and a coffee machine. The place is clean and overlooks the frozen lake (in the winter). They have a collection of board games, books and movies in the main lodge that you can borrow. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they have information on all the activities available in the area. We had an excellent time and will definitely visit again. mdpais - Jan. 21, 2019 Trip Advisor
